Eggnog: Thoughts?

December 3, 2012 by athenahm

Few holiday staples possess the ability to inspire such strong feelings in people like eggnog. I will be making my very own for a holiday party in the near future, and I am having a bit of indecision about which alcohol I want to use this year.  Let me know what you think.

  1. […] might remember that a couple of weeks ago, I asked you what kind of boozy goodness you prefer in your eggnog.  Thanks to everyone that responded, and I am happy to report that you guys seem as torn as I was. […]

Love your choices – but mine was not there, and although this clearly makes me look like a wienie, I will share anyway…. I usually put either Bailey’s Irish cream or kahlua in my eggnog. I know, sissy stuff, but quite tasty. Great post.

Kahlua and Bailey’s have their places, they do both taste amazing 🙂 I thank you for bringing them to my attention! The reason I used hard liquor for these is because of the high alcohol content needed for the antibacterial purposes, as well as personal preference. I do think that Bailey’s or Kahlua would both be great companions with the pasteurized version 😉
