Programming Note: We’re taking this show On the Road! Kind of….

Did you know that there is a site completely devoted to jumping on hotel beds? I just wasted so much time on Click the image to experience it.

Hello my dears. Tomorrow, I will be moving into a hotel for the next two months, since we are moving so far away, and they must pick up our belongings suuuuuuper early, in order for us to have them within a reasonable time frame.  What this means for me? Woooooohooo! Living out of a suitcase!(I am not kidding. I love living in hotels for extended

I get to play with bubble wrap! YAY!!!!!

periods of time. It makes the excitement of the movemore palpable, and I have less responsibilities. Plus, we can jump on the bed)  What this means for you?  Unfortunately, my stand mixer and baking implements will not fit in my luggage, so the content on this blog will be somewhat….. limited.  I will not be able to prepare a lot of my go-to foods, or try very many new and fancy things. I will have a sink and a very small oven that cooks unevenly, and also a microwave(For those of you that do not know, I do not own a microwave, so that will be an experience).  I am, however, the master of improvisation in situations such as this, so I have an idea, and i need your help.  I am going to attempt to come up with super cool convenience food that are easy to make with very little resources in a sort of “Hotel-Living” series.  If you have an idea for me to try, let me know in the comments, and I will try my damnedest to make it happen, and document the process. Love you guys!!!!

I’ve always meant to ask you, why no microwave? I know some people don’t have them for this reason or that, just curious about yours.

When we got to Turkey, they put it on our beyaname. Then it broke. Then I just never replaced it because it seemed like a waste of money and counter space. But having one, again, living here in the hotel, I realize that it makes reheating leftovers sooooo easy. I love leftovers….
